The symbol for partial derivatives is shown in the "Mathematical Symbols” palette (∂), but it's

not functional, i.e., it cannot be used to calculate derivatives. Use function ‘diff to calculate

partial derivatives.

Representation of derivatives before evaluations - use apostrophes before each diff.
